Since 1900

Alishaan 2.0 · A Konkan Legacy

A family rooted in a small village Waghivare in Chiplun taluka, Ratnagiri — and now spread across countries. This is our shared home: our story, our people, and the tree that connects us.

The Rumani family

One house in Waghivare. A family across countries.

The Rumanis trace their name to the small village of Waghivare, near the market town taluka of Chiplun in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. From a single household in the 1900s, pioneered by Ali Rumani (Ali Sheth) the family has grown across four generations — moving first to Bombay, then to the Gulf, and on to other countries.

What has not changed is the return. Every wedding, every Eid, every mango season, branches of the family find their way back to the same courtyard. This site is that courtyard, online.
